My daily devotional time is especially important to me. Time in God's presence is my source of strength, joy and focus for each day. I feel calmer throughout the day after spending time in God's word and prayer. Today's reading was quite powerful and I wanted to share it with you. It was taken from Galatians chapter 6. These 5 points came alive to me as I read and meditated on this chapter.

Here is a brief outline of what I studied today:
1. Carry the burdens of others. Galatians 6:1-3
"Stoop down and reach out to those who are oppressed. Share their burdens, and so complete Christ's law."
Galatians 6:2 (MSG)
2. Complete your own work carefully and humbly. Galatians 6:4-5
"Don't compare yourself to others. Each of you must take responsibility for doing the creative best you can with your own life."
Galatians 6:5 (MSG)
3. Connect and communicate with your instructor/mentor. Galatians 6:6
"Be very sure now, you who have been trained to a self sufficient maturity, that you enter into a generous common life with those who have trained you, sharing all the good things that you have and experience."
Galatians 6:6 (MSG)
4. Continue to sow and don't give up. Galatians 6:7-9
"So let's not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don't give up, or quit."
Galatians 6:9 (MSG)
Right now, therefore, every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all, starting with the people closest to us in the community of faith."
Galatians 6:10 (MSG)
