Ever since I was a little girl, I knew I wanted to be a Pastor's Wife. I believe our days are numbered. Before we took our first breath, God knew us and had already determined our purpose.
This is my purpose!
As a young Ministry Wife I quickly learned:
Truth doesn't always win over perception.
Bad things happen to good people.
Loneliness is a reality for the Pastor's Wife, but only remains for a season and carries with it a specific purpose.
Hurting people, hurt others.
Wounds will come, but in the end, it is all worth the fight!
Yep, it was a rough start, and it didn't get any easier. However, my heart's desire is to write about the faithfulness of God, as I share my story.
Why am I writing "The Musings of a Pastor's Wife"?
First, because God has led me in this direction, and I have chosen to be obedient. A bit timid, I will admit, but still obedient.
Second, because after 13 years in this role I hope my story will encourage other women.
My third reason has been difficult to articulate, but here it is anyway. I don't believe God intended any two women to be identical. God is the Creator of creativity, and each of us is a specific work of the Great Artist.
The marriage of a man and woman is a powerful force, and when each partner is living to their fullest potential, with God as the Head, He is glorified and the message of Jesus Christ is heard.
So, our stories will be different, but God's faithfulness, truth, and love are the same.
I hope to meet other women on this journey. I want to hear your story.
Please leave a comment anytime. I enjoy hearing from you, and other readers will benefit from your input also.
