I cut flowers from my garden this morning. It was early, so early that the flowers were still wet with dew.
They hung low to the ground from the weight of so much moisture. As I clipped the stems from the bushes, I shook them to release some of the heaviness.
At first I shook so gently, because I was sure all the delicate petals would fall off. All the gorgeous blooms stayed in tact, so I shook a bit harder.
I continued to shake until there was no more moisture. I was surprised at the amount of friction these delicate hydrangeas could take.
Come to find out.......they are not so delicate.
Beautiful and strong, not weak, fragile or delicate.
Love can look so beautiful, feel so warm and fuzzy. Love can light up a room, just like a vase of flowers.
Love keeps growing, just like the garden.....year after year, without fail.
Love bursts will all kinds of colors and textures.
Love can even grow in the midst of terrible situations, just like flowers can grow among weeds.
Love can be shaken, both gently and tenaciously, and none of the delicate petals fall off.
Loving and Living Life.................Amanda
