Sunday morning I heard a lady say something that gripped my heart. Her words keep rolling around in my mind. Words that were said in passing, from one stranger to another, while in the ladies room at church.......how common.
Soon to realize, how powerful.
There was a mama with her baby on the changing station. She was gently rubbing cream on the baby's cheeks. It really was a precious sight. The baby was blowing bubbles and giggling each time her mama swept over her lips, going from one cheek to the other.
A woman stopped and said to the mama, "I would give anything to have those days back again.....anything! Nobody ever told me how fast the time would go. Nobody ever told me that I had only one chance at it. I was just trying to survive, and now here I am." The deep regret in this woman's voice shook me. Honestly, who talks like that? Who speaks out of their hurt and regrets to a stranger, just on a whim like that?
How do we love, as if we will never be hurt?
How do we give, believing our supply will never run out?
How do we decide what our priorities are?
How do we keep the faith, stay the course, and never give up?
By choosing Jesus!
